信里有几点很重要，如果是网上查询帐单的话大约需要四个工作日的时间，如果没有的话，就只能等银行给你寄交易明细（printed statement）。这也就是为什么要开通五中提到的网上银行的原因。大约三个工作日之后去网上银行余额，会发现少了1.95美元（如下图）。再过一个工作日查询明细，可以看到：有一笔消费的交易，金额是1.95,再按这笔交易的序号看到交易商户一览写着PayPal XXXX ,那4个XXXX就是PayPal给的确认码，也就是信中提到的Member Number！点击信中的链接登陆Paypal后（如下图），将这4个数字填上去（图中的红框），Paypal就激活了！你会发现自己的paypal帐号中有verified的字样。注意，你的paypal帐号激活以后，paypal不会email你。
信的末尾paypal还提醒用户在收到对帐单之前不要打电话到卡部询问确认码，而且如果发卡处向paypal投诉有人这么做的话，paypal会永远取消这个人的paypal帐号。
